The Woof Wash is looking for an experienced, dependable, and compassionate Seasonal Dog Bather & Salon Assistant to join our team for the busy holiday season!
We're a team-oriented grooming salon that prioritizes quality care, a positive work environment, and the safety and comfort of every dog.
This is a balanced role with approximately 3–5 independently scheduled bath appointments per day, allowing time to assist our three groomers, perform nail trims, and support daily salon operations.
We prioritize quality over quantity and believe in maintaining a manageable workload where dogs receive the attention they deserve.
Responsibilities
- Bathe, dry, brush, and perform nail trims on dogs of various breeds, sizes, and coat types
- Independently handle scheduled bath and nail trim appointments
- Assist our three groomers with bathing, drying, brushing, and other grooming preparation
- Safely and confidently handle dogs with different temperaments and behavioral needs
- Support daily salon operations, including cleaning, sanitizing equipment, laundry, and maintaining organized workspaces
- Help keep appointments running smoothly in a busy, team-focused environment
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of professional dog bathing or grooming experience required
- Must be confident and experienced performing nail trims
- Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, including large and double-coated breeds
- Knowledge of proper bathing, drying, brushing, and safe handling techniques
- Ability to recognize signs of stress and prioritize each dog's comfort and safety
- Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help wherever needed
