Responsibilities
- Safely climb trees using rigging techniques to prune, remove, or maintain branches and limbs
- Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access elevated work areas efficiently and securely
- Assist with tree trimming, pruning, and removal projects following industry best practices
- Support ground-based tasks such as lawn care, landscape maintenance, and planting activities
- Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to assist with mapping and site planning when necessary
- Handle rigging equipment to secure trees or limbs during trimming or removal processes
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and inspecting equipment regularly
Requirements
- Growing experience in tree care, horticulture, landscaping, or related outdoor maintenance fields
- Knowledge of tree trimming techniques, tree care practices, and landscape upkeep
- Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and effectively; prior bucket operation experience is preferred
- Familiarity with rigging procedures for climbing or lowering heavy limbs or equipment
- Basic understanding of GIS technology for site mapping and planning (nice-to-have)
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to climb trees, lift heavy objects, and perform outdoor manual labor for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality workmanship
