High School Biology

The Woods Charter School, founded in 1998, is a North Carolina public charter school serving approximately 500 students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. It offers a rigorous college and university preparatory program that emphasizes character development. Known for its academic excellence, the school consistently achieves strong results in State testing as well as AP, SAT, and ACT exams. This is a full-time, on-site role for a High School Biology Teacher at The Woods Charter School, located in Chapel Hill, NC. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive biology instruction aligned with the school’s college-preparatory curriculum. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, grading assignments, managing classroom dynamics, assessing student progress, and fostering a supportive learning environment. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and engage in school activities that support the school community.
