Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist department directors in the recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.
- Train and guide department directors on all new hires and terminations.
- Assist General Manager and department directors in all employee related matters.
- Ensure employee handbook is up to date and in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Administer employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with FMLA and other relevant employment laws.
- Prepare renewals for all insurances.
- Manage unemployment and workers compensation claims.
- Facilitate employee orientation and training programs to enhance workforce management and development.
- Support performance management initiatives by conducting employee evaluations.
- Foster positive employee relations through effective conflict management and communication strategies.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to support HR decision-making processes.
- Address employee concerns and workplace performance issues.
- Organize employee events, company celebrations and team-building activities to promote a positive work environment
- Develop and implement an employee wellness program
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in human capital management with a strong understanding of employment & labor law.
- HR Certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) preferred
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workers' compensation processes is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in social media management for recruiting purposes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with various HR software systems is highly desirable.
