We’re seeking a go-getter to join our seasoned kitchen staff team. At The Wooden Chair, you’ll be responsible for an array of kitchen duties, including preparing/cooking a variety of fresh, innovative dishes in a fast-paced, fun environment. Directly reporting to our Kitchen Leader, the following are your key responsibilities:
- Culinary Excellence: Prepare and cook meals to the restaurant’s standards, ensuring each dish meets quality and presentation criteria.
- Team Leadership and Supervision: To our Head Chef's satisfaction, you'll direct kitchen staff while running lead-line position during shifts, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Assist in training and mentoring junior team members and support staff, promoting continuous improvement.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues quickly, respectfully, and efficiently. We are better when we work together.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure the kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations, maintaining an organized, clean, and safe working environment.
- Operational Efficiency: Support outlined kitchen processes and work with Kitchen Team Leader on development and implementation of future process enhancements.
