Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation of the food truck, including food preparation, cooking, and serving to ensure high-quality standards are met consistently.
• Must be able to pull and drive a trailer to and from events.
• Manage all aspects of POS systems such as Square to process sales accurately and efficiently.
• Oversee food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in compliance with health regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Assist team members in customer service, cashiering, cooking, prepping and food service duties to foster a positive work atmosphere.
• Implement upselling techniques to increase sales and promote menu items effectively.
• Handle cash transactions with accuracy, perform basic math calculations for register balancing, and manage cash handling procedures.
• Maintain inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper food storage practices are followed.
• Coordinate schedules and manage time effectively to maximize productivity during busy service hours.

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation within quick service or fast-food restaurant environments.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Square for seamless transaction processing.
• Culinary experience with a solid understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently during high-volume service periods.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items and enhance the overall guest experience.
• Experience in cashiering, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transaction processing.
• Background in food industry roles such as serving, expo, or kitchen experience in cafes or restaurants is highly desirable.
