Role Description The Human Resources Business Partner is a contract role responsible for supporting leadership with strategic and operational HR guidance. In this hybrid position based in Austin, TX, with some work-from-home flexibility, the HR Business Partner will collaborate with managers to address employee relations matters, advise on HR policies, and support performance management processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting on workforce planning, coaching leaders on people-management practices, and ensuring alignment with labor and employment regulations. The role will also contribute to HR initiatives such as policy updates, change management efforts, and employee engagement activities, while maintaining clear documentation and providing data-driven recommendations.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) with the ability to interpret and find creative solutions in a practical, consistent manner.
- Creativity and the ability to apply business and people foundatinal principles to help business thrive.
- Experience in learning & development, including expenrience creating real world training scenarios.
- Working knowledge of AI and knowing when and how to use depending on the situation. Also the abiltiy to decern if something is AI slop.
- Excellent technial prowess and knowlege of how HR tech works across organizations and even better if you’ve implemented systems previously.
- Excellence in Performance Management, including algining goal setting, KPI’s/OKR’s feedback processes, and support for development and improvement plans for results driven organizations.
- Ability to build trust quickly, with excellent interpersonal, communication, and consulting skills.
- Accountability and ownership are imparative for this role along with being a life long learner.
- Experience in a strategic HR role, preferably in dynamic or growing organizations where you’ve made a difference behind the scenes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use HR data and metrics to inform recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related experience. Ideally building a company or department from scratch experience.
- Comfort working in a remote environment based in Austin, TX, managing priorities across on-site and remote work settings.
