The Wistar Institute has an opening for an ambitious and productive Post-Doctoral Fellow to join the laboratory of Dr. Qingsheng Li in The Wistar Institute’s HIV Cure and Viral Diseases Center. We seek to recruit a highly motivated candidate to study HIV-1 immunopathogenesis, latency and cure. The successful candidate will use cutting-edge technologies, including genome editing, spatial scRNA-seq, in vitro and in vivo models and human specimens, to better understand the fundamental biology of HIV-1 latency and to explore novel therapeutic approaches to cure HIV-1 infection.
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic scientific environment with ample opportunities for interactions with leading investigators in HIV virology, vaccinology and advanced therapeutics through programmatic funding mechanisms.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) degree. Applicants must have a strong background in one or more of the following disciplines: virology, immunology, molecular and/or cellular biology. Applicants with experience in virology and immunology, especially in HIV-1 studies, are strongly encouraged to apply.
