Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Therapist role based in Flint, MI, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Therapist will provide individual and family counseling to clients experiencing anxiety, depression, sexual addictions, and life transitions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating ongoing therapy sessions, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The Therapist will collaborate with other clinicians, participate in case consultations, and contribute to a supportive, ethical, and client-centered environment. The role also involves timely communication with clients and referral sources, adherence to professional standards, and engagement in continued learning and supervision as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field.
- Active or eligible state licensure (e.g., LPC, LLPC, LMSW, LLMSW, LMFT, LLP) in Michigan.
- Demonstrated skills in providing therapy for anxiety, depression, and life transition concerns.
- Experience or strong interest in working with teens, families, men addressing sexual addictions, and student athletes.
- Ability to conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain clear, compliant clinical documentation.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with an ability to build trust and rapport across diverse populations.
- Comfort with hybrid work, including in-person sessions in Flint, MI and secure telehealth services from home.
- Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, and trauma-informed, evidence-based care.
- Basic proficiency with electronic health record systems and standard office technology.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development.
