Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Laundry Attendantto join our hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and experience in cleaning and custodial services. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and laundry services to ensure high standards of hygiene and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and floor care techniques
- Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing
- Restock supplies in guest rooms and public areas as needed
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored properly
- Follow established health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe environment for guests and staff
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties to management promptly
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as assigned
Skills
- Familiarity with hotel or hospitality industry standards is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards consistently
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organizational skills to manage laundry loads and cleaning schedules effectively
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and moving furniture or equipment when necessary
- Prior housekeeping management experience is advantageous but not required
