The Working Foreman oversees, trains, and motivates employees in the packaging department to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety while assisting with day-to-day duties and special projects.
Essential Functions
- Under direction of the Supervisor or Manager, assign daily work and tasks to employees
- Get materials and tools ready for the day
- Check the quality and quantity of work performed at various functions
- Ensure compliance with Safety rules and procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Management Practices (GMPs)
- Input hourly case counts into spreadsheets and escalating downtime issues
- Train employees in proper work techniques, sustainability, and safety
- Refer employee relations and disciplinary issues to the Manager/Supervisor
- Perform all levels of hands-on tasks for the bottling department with a direct role and active presence on the production floor
- Monitor and recommend supply purchases
- Conduct safety tailgates, discuss safety topics, and lead stretching exercises
- Responsible for compliance with TWG sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable, and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results
- Safety - follow safe operating procedures, and support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environment, and team members’ safety.
- Lead Changeovers on Lines and Equipment Centers (The Ability to Lift 50lbs).
- Must be 18 years or older at time of hire.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 2 Years of experience working in Bottling
- Ability to be a team player in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with all personnel and peers in a team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of process flows.
- Must be able to juggle multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
- Must be self-motivated, articulate, empowered, and detail orientated.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt/respond in an environment of constant change.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate history of reliable attendance.
- Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- High level of energy and sense of urgency.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in both numerical and written.

- The employee frequently is required to sit, talk, or listen and drive long distances. The employee is occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and ladders, and bending are required.
- The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Working conditions in certain areas of the winery are cold, wet, slippery, and noisy. Involves exposure to hazardous conditions. Irregular shifts, including graveyards, and long hours may be required, particularly during harvest.

- Hourly Pay Range Posted: $27.74 - $40.23
- Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities; education; and other position-related factors.
