Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing essential clerical and administrative support to winery operations. Key duties include scale operation, greeting customers and visitors, answering phones, and maintaining accurate records. The position requires interfacing with Winemaking and Operations departments to maintain and ensure compliance with site regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of administrative experience, preferably within a production or manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions

  • Operate scales for international and domestic shipping/receiving, grape truck receipts, and other incoming/outgoing weights.
  • Manage all proof of export paperwork for wine exported from the Fresno facility, including but not limited to TTB Form 5100 (Withdrawal of Spirts or Wine for Exportation) and Ocean Bills of Lading (OBL).
  • Facilitate sample disbursement (international and domestic), from creating labels to scheduling shipments via carriers such as FedEx, UPS, and DHL.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with all personnel, vendors, contractors, and peers in a team environment.

Other Functions

  • Ensure all purchase orders have appropriate documentation.
  • Track safety tailgate attendance and make ups.
  • Perform safety and/or environmental inspections as assigned.
  • Support and model all company procedures and policies.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older at time of hire.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • 2 years of experience in an administrative role involving computer work is required; experience supporting production or manufacturing operations is a plus.
  • Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and be insurable to drive for the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English, carrying out verbal and written instructions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Physical Demands


  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Work environment may be both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to standard equipment and noise levels.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require bending, stooping, standing, and twisting.
  • Ability to lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies.

Compensation

  • Hourly Pay Range Posted: $18.32 - $27.45/hr.
  • Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities, education, and other position-related factors.
