Job Description

** This is a hybrid retail and bar service position **

The Wine Feed is looking for the right people to help us inspire a new wave of wine-lovers. We want an energetic person to join our team, focusing on delivering amazing hospitality at all times. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a team who is passionate about delivering the best customer service to our guests. Excellent communication skills, positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential!

Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers promptly and courteously, accommodating their needs

• Setting up and cleaning up daily operations
• Serving wine flights and glasses at the wine bar
• Stocking wine, other inventory and glasses

• Taking orders, inputting orders in a POS, serving customers

• Promote the sale of wine and non-wine products sold by The Wine Feed

• Describing wines, winemaking techniques, history and/or general information about our products on the shelf and on our wine list

• Effectively suggest and sell wine to customers

• Handle routine purchasing transactions, which include operating cash register and website sales
• Maintain customer relationships

• Uphold a high level of detail for inventory management

• Work in a team environment and open to performing other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Flexible schedule

• Minimum of 21 years of age

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of basic computer programs

• Wine industry, food-service, or hospitality experience preferred

• Knowledge of and appreciation of wine strongly preferred, along with a strong desire to learn more!

• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, friendly and outgoing

• Ability to thrive in a team environment

• Detail oriented and exceptional organizational skills

• Hard-working and able to work at a fast pace

• High integrity and trustworthiness; sense of responsibility and accountability

• Must demonstrate professional phone and business etiquette

• Customer service driven

• Willing to take initiative

• Weekends, holidays and evenings required

• Open to working on-site/off-site special events if needed

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (1 case of wine)

• This position reports directly to the Store Manager

Compensation: Hourly wage based on experience tips

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
