Job Overview
We are seeking a hardworking and efficient Hotel Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team. You will be responsible for the daily processing of all hotel linens and towels. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of operating commercial laundry equipment to ensure our guests always have fresh, immaculate linens.
Key Responsibilities
- Laundry Operations: Sort soiled linens and towels by color, fabric, and soil level. Pre-treat stains using proper chemicals and cleaning agents.
- Machine Operation: Load and unload commercial washers and dryers according to manufacturer guidelines and hotel standards.
- Textile Care: Neatly fold, press, and stack clean linens and towels. Identify and report worn, torn, or permanently stained items for replacement.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep the laundry area clean and safe. Clean lint screens daily, empty drain traps, and wipe down machines. Report maintenance issues immediately.
- Inventory & Supplies: Monitor levels of detergents, bleach, and fabric softeners, communicating supply needs to the Housekeeping Supervisor. Assist with regular linen inventories.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience in a commercial laundry facility or hotel housekeeping department is a plus.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, and regularly lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment to meet daily linen demands.
- Chemical Knowledge: Understanding of commercial cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
