Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing reservations, and ensuring efficient seating arrangements. This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service and enhancing the overall dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and walk-in guests efficiently to optimize seating.
• Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times effectively.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host area.
• Utilize POS systems for managing orders and payments as needed.
• Uphold high standards of hospitality and guest relations throughout the dining experience.

Skills

• Previous host/host experience is preferred, with a strong background in food service or restaurant environments.
• Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous.
• Experience in hotel or guest services is a plus, enhancing the ability to cater to diverse clientele.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of serving etiquette and hospitality best practices is essential.
