This consultant will operate at a senior advisory level, supporting patient access optimization, scheduling efficiency, eligibility, authorization workflows, and Epic-based process improvement initiatives.This role is ideal for a consultant with deep Epic experience who understands both operational and IT perspectives, and who can lead complex, multi-site initiatives with measurable financial and operational impact.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a senior advisor supporting Patient Access, Scheduling, Registration, Eligibility, and Authorization functionsLead initiatives focused on reducing patient access–owned denials, including COB and authorization-related denialsOptimize scheduling efficiency, patient movement, and front-end registration workflowsPartner with operational and IT stakeholders to design and implement Epic-based improvements aligned to best practicesSupport implementation and optimization of:Real-Time EligibilityAuthorization workflowsRegistration edits and decision treesWorkqueues and operational reportingAct as project management lead for complex, multi-hospital initiatives, including change management and stakeholder coordinationDevelop dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to support operational and financial goalsProvide subject matter expertise across Epic Patient Access applicationsMentor analysts and operational teams on optimization strategies and best practicesSupport business development, assessments, and follow-on remediation initiatives as neededRequired Qualifications10 years of progressive experience in Patient Access and Front-End Revenue CycleExtensive experience working with Epic in both implementation and optimization environmentsProven expertise in:Scheduling optimizationFront-end registration efficiencyInsurance eligibility and authorization workflowsPatient access–owned denials reductionAbility to function as a strategic advisor, not limited to build-only or task-based workStrong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skillsExperience working with large health systems, academic medical centers, and multi-hospital organizationsPreferred QualificationsPrior consulting experience in healthcare revenue cycle environmentsExperience serving as an operational liaison between IT and business teamsEpic certifications in Patient Access modules strongly preferred, including:CadencePreludeADT / Grand CentralWelcomeMyChartBackground in Real-Time Eligibility vendor implementation or optimizationWilshire is honored that you have taken the time to review/apply to our open position.
