Shuttle Van Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Shuttle Driver to operate vehicles for transporting passengers safely and efficiently. This role involves providing excellent customer service while ensuring timely and secure transportation. The ideal candidate will have experience in shuttle driving, commercial driving, or bus driving, with strong communication skills and a focus on safety and maintenance.

Duties

• Safely operate shuttle vehicles, including buses, limousines, or paratransit vans, along designated routes or schedules
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring comfort and safety
• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure optimal operation
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and passengers, providing updates or assistance as needed
• Handle heavy lifting when necessary for luggage or equipment
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe transportation at all times

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., driver, commercial driver’s license- helpful but not required)
• Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine service preferred
• Strong communication skills and excellent customer service abilities
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and handle maintenance tasks on the vehicle
• Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial driving and passenger transport
• Experience with school bus driving or paratransit services is a plus
• Reliable transportation to work location with flexibility to work various shifts as needed
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
