What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook - Weekends Only! position at The Willows Adult Home?
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a PART TIME cook. As a cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation and service, ensuring that our residents receive high-quality meals. If you have experience in the food industry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. We do paid training for those interested, and while experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and portion sizes
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with the Food Service Manager to meet specific dietary needs
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food preparation preferred
- Knowledge of basic knife skills and food service techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work every weekend and some holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects as needed
-An approved physical examination signed and dated by your primary care doctor no more than 30 days prior to hire (form is provided at interview).
-A two-part PPD tuberculosis skin test completed no more than 30 days prior to hire (form is provided at interview).
-Reliable transportation. We have a zero tolerance tardiness policy!
-No history of substance or patient abuse - background check & fingerprinting required.
