The Upchurch Group, A Will Group company is seeking a Civil Engineer (FE/EIT) to join our team in Mattoon, Illinois. In this role, you'll work on transportation, water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects that directly support communities and utility systems across the region.
You'll collaborate with Professional Engineers, surveyors, planners, GIS specialists, and technical experts while gaining valuable experience that supports your path toward PE licensure.
What You'll Be Doing
✔ Infrastructure design and engineering calculations
✔ Stormwater, water, and wastewater project support
✔ Construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
✔ Permit applications and regulatory compliance
✔ Field observations and site visits
✔ CAD-based design and drafting
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- FE/EIT certification or ability to obtain within one year
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with CAD software
- Interest in transportation and municipal infrastructure projects

Location: Mattoon, IL (Onsite)
Good Faith Salary Range: The annual starting salary for this position is between $65,000 to $75,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
