Duties
- Operate commercial fryers safely and efficiently to produce perfectly cooked donuts with consistent quality.
- Prepare dough according to established recipes, ensuring proper measurements and ingredient handling.
- Shape, fill, and decorate donuts with icing, cinnamon sugar, or other toppings to enhance visual appeal and taste.
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing equipment, utensils, and work surfaces in compliance with food safety standards.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures precisely to ensure food safety and optimal product quality.
- Assist in packaging finished donuts for display or customer orders while adhering to food handling protocols.
- Support the team in food preparation tasks related to bakery items, ensuring smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
- Assist with waiting on customers as needed.
- Wash dishes as needed and requested to assist the team.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation such as fryers and mixers.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency across batches.
- Excellent attention to detail for quality control and food safety management.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and portioning products accurately.
- Experience working in high-volume production environments within the food industry or catering settings is desirable.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean workspace in accordance with health regulations.
- Customer service experience is beneficial for engaging with customers when needed.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for multiple hours at a time.
