Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
- Maintaining accurate financial records by recording daily financial transactions in accounting software.
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including processing invoices, receipts, and vendor payments.
- Performing monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Assisting with payroll processing.
- Preparing financial reports such as budgets, income statements, and balance sheets for management review.
- Providing general administrative and clerical support, such as answering phones, managing office supplies, and organizing files.
- Communicating with vendors and clients regarding billing and payments to resolve discrepancies.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes and supporting external accountants during audits.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting support role.
- Proficiency in accounting software
- QuickBooks experience is a must and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred:
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in the Food and Beverage/ Restaurant industry
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
