Job description:
We are seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy Teacher Assistant with skills in coding, animation, games, and technology to join our team at the Whole Child Academy, a school for twice-exceptional students. The ideal candidate will focus on instructing technology, coding, and robotics as well as working closely with lead teachers to support instruction and provide hands-on assistance in classrooms and the lunchroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing coding and tech-related lessons and activities tailored to twice-exceptional students.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them with tech projects, coding exercises, and robotics challenges.
- Manage and maintain classroom technology, including computers, tablets, and robotics kits.
- Support students in developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills through interactive and engaging tech-based projects.
- Help organize and supervise tech-related extracurricular activities, clubs, and competitions.
Qualifications:
- Experience with coding languages (e.g., Python, Java), coding platforms (e.g., , ), robotics platforms (e.g., LEGO Mindstorms, VEX Robotics), and/or Gaming Engines (e.g. Roblox Studio, Unity).
- Strong understanding of technology integration in an educational setting. (Google Workspace & Classroom tools, Microsoft365)
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with twice-exceptional students.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and other staff members.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Salary : $48,000 - $52,000
