Duties
- Safely transport detainees or incarcerated individuals to designated locations.
- Conduct thorough security checks before, during, and after transportation to ensure detainee safety and facility security.
- Supervise detainees during transit, ensuring proper behavior and adherence to facility rules.
- Maintain accurate records of transport activities, including logs, incident reports, and case documentation.
- Apply conflict management techniques to de-escalate tense situations during transport or within detention settings.
- Follow correctional policy compliance protocols and adhere to legal standards related to detainee rights and safety.
- Use manual handling skills for securing detainees in transport restraints or other necessary equipment while ensuring their well-being.
Requirements
- Must have CPR/AED/First aid, Texas DL, and Level 3 or higher
- Proven experience working with incarcerated individuals or within correctional settings.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with staff or detainees in a security or social work environment.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Knowledge of report writing, records management, and case management practices related to detention or law enforcement activities.
- Background in law enforcement, military service, or security roles involving firearms handling and first aid protocols such as CPR and first aid certification.
- Familiarity with correctional policy compliance, security procedures, and inmate supervision standards.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing weight handling in the workplace.
- Excellent communication skills with cultural competency awareness; experience working with youth is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
