We are seeking skilled Aluminum Boat Welders who take pride in producing high-quality marine structures and are committed to craftsmanship, precision, and safety.

Position Summary

The Aluminum Boat Welder will fabricate, fit, and weld aluminum components and assemblies used in commercial and military marine vessels. This position requires experience with marine grade aluminum welding, the ability to read technical drawings, and a strong focus on quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

· Perform MIG and TIG welding on marine grade aluminum structures and components.

· Fabricate and weld hulls, decks, bulkheads, cabins, fuel tanks, and other vessel assemblies.

· Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.

· Fit, align, and assemble aluminum components to required tolerances.

· Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.

· Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, drills, and other metalworking tools.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

· Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet project schedules and specifications.

· Support vessel construction, refit, and repair projects as needed.

· Follow all company safety procedures and applicable industry standards.

QualificationsRequired

· 3 years of aluminum welding experience in marine, shipbuilding, aerospace, defense, or heavy fabrication environments.

· Proficiency in MIG welding aluminum; TIG experience preferred.

· Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.

· Strong understanding of aluminum fabrication techniques.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in shipyard/manufacturing environments.

· Must be able to pass a practical welding test.

Preferred

· Experience building aluminum boats or marine vessels.

· NAVSEA, AWS, ABS, or other industry welding certifications.

· Experience working on government or defense contracts.

· Forklift, overhead crane, or rigging experience.

· Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing and shipbuilding environment. Employees will be required to work around welding equipment, aluminum fabrication machinery, noise, fumes, and varying temperatures while adhering to all safety requirements.

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
