WHEAT is currently looking for Retail Sales Associate(s) for our Nantucket, MA location for the 2024 Spring, Summer and Fall Season.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Wheat Holdings LLC was established in 2017 by married couple Molly Shaheen and Huw Collins out of a mutual love for luxury fashion and travel. Since the start, the brand has successfully opened boutique locations on the east coast, west coast, and Caribbean, and continues to grow! We are looking for a Retail Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service for our high-end fashion boutique. Candidates with strong sales and communication skills who can make guests feel welcome in our store will stand out. A familiarity with the brands we carry such as MOTHER, Citizens of Humanity, Re/Done, NAADAM, Aviator Nation, and more is strongly encouraged. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential guest issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. You will ensure that guests leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s overall profitability. Previous clothing retail experience is preferred, and individuals must have experience in operating a cash register POS system, basic inventory and restocking tasks, as well as light cleaning duties. We also sell our own line of luxury loungewear, candles and fragrance; The Wheat Collection; which means there is also opportunity to grow within the company!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Including but not limited to:
- Greet guests and make them feel welcomed
- Provide accurate information (e.g. product features and pricing)
- Answer guests’ questions about specific products/items
- Ensure racks are fully stocked and always tidy
- Manage exchanges of merchandise if it should arise
- Provide daily recap feedback to your management team in end of shift emails and store photos and videos
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Associate or similar role
- Understanding of the retail sales process (greeting, assisting, and checking out guests in store) Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
- Must be team-oriented and accept direction from store manager
- Track daily sales and count high dollar inventory on hand
- Excellent communication skills, and capable of building relationships
- Strong understanding of how to operate retail POS systems
- Ability to perform in a fast paced atmosphere
- Flexibility to work weekends and nights as needed
- BA in Fashion, Merchandizing, or related field not required, but is a plus!

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
