Job Description:
- Oversee the operational functions of the hotel, as per the Organizational Chart.
- Oversee and manage all departments working closely with department heads on a daily basis.
- Hold regular briefings and meetings with departments heads, acting as liaison between the hotel and the President of the company.
- Ensure full compliance with hotel operating procedures, policies, and service standards.
- Assist the president in preparing, presenting, and the subsequent achievement of the hotel’s annual Operating Budget, Marketing, and Sales plan.
- Ensure revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
- Work with the president to set and execute both short- and long-term strategic goals for the property.
- Closely monitor daily hotel performance and make real-time operational decisions to maximize profits and guest satisfaction.
- Maximize room yield and hotel revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
- Manager and Develop hotel staff to ensure career progression and development.
- Maintain accountability for the responsibilities of department heads and ownership of the guest experience.
- Provide effective leadership to hotel team members
- Maintain & develop organizational policies, best practices, and SOPs for each department and assist in enacting these updated practices.
- Create, foster and maintain relationships and contacts with corporate accounts and corporate guests. Manage/track corporate rates.
Prerequisites & Experience:
- The ideal candidate has extensive management experience and has a robust management skillset, willing to provide hands-on assistance to the team and is able to work as business demands dictate, including weekends, holidays, and nights when applicable.
- Minimum of 5 years of GM or AGM management experience in the hospitality industry, preferably at a boutique hotel or Inn.
- 5 years of hospitality experience, with significant luxury experience.
- Strong understanding of P&L statements and basic accounting
