What are the responsibilities and job description for the Upper School English and History Teacher position at The Westwood School?
The Westwood School seeks a person with a deep interest in the humanities and who wishes to help teenagers appreciate the value of the humanities. Depending on teacher experience, grade levels will be assigned. The teacher will have a range of students who may be taking the highest levels of classes offered (IB) to those who need a moderate pace to fulfill graduation requirements. Teachers at Westwood are expected to engage students in a variety of ways and must be willing to adjust curriculum according to student responses. Westwood is a private school located in the North Dallas area. We take pride in our close-knit culture which values community, character and excellence. We emphasize the importance of a low student to teacher ratio with classes typically around 10-12 students.
