Job
POSITION OVERVIEW
This is a hands-on position that ensures the library and surrounding grounds are safe and clean for staff and patrons. Assists with event logistics. Actively monitors spaces during shifts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assists with events set up and breakdown.
2. Assists with load in and load out boxes of books, musical instruments, boxes of beverages, and other items, as needed.
3. Checks restrooms, clean if necessary, and refill supplies, as needed
4. Deliver packages to appropriate departments.
5. Ensures the interior, exterior and walkways of the library remain safe for patrons and staff. Clear walkways and entrances during inclement weather and add salt when necessary (seasonal only).
6. Ensure Library spaces are neat and tidy and rearrange furniture as needed
7. Other duties assigned from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. High School diploma or GED.
2. Comfort with using basic technology, especially Microsoft Word and e-mail.
3. A willingness and ability to work weekends or evenings.
4. Punctuality and a positive attitude.
5. Professional appearance and demeanor
6. Strong interpersonal skills.
7. Proactively addresses concerns within area of responsibility.
8. Honesty and Integrity.
9. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift items up to 50 pounds and push heavy items on a hand track up to 80 pounds.
