Food & Beverage Manager

Position Summary:  The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all F&B operations.  Provide all guests with courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service that supports the outlet’s operating concept, brand promise and standards.

1. Inspect the outlets daily for cleanliness.
2. Regularly walk and inspect all areas in order to direct work with emphasis on sanitation and cleanliness.
3. Have a thorough knowledge of menus and applicable specials.
4. Supervise and ensure brand standards are adhered to.
5. Remain in dining room during peak business hours, greet and engage with guests to ensure an enjoyable dining experience.
6. Manage and update as necessary POS system
7. Be able to operate the hotel computer system.
8. Perform opening and closing procedures with service staff.
9. Follow proper procedure regarding cash handling, following cash bank reconciliation and end of shift drop.
10. Spot check guest checks to ensure proper check handling.
11. Ensure supplies are stocked, submit requests for purchasing items in timely fashion to never run out of anything.
12. Check side work of staff.
13. Assist with staff scheduling.
14. Assist with liquor requisitions and support liquor controls.
15. Assist with staff payroll and submit tip reports
16. Maintain a clean and efficient restaurant.
17. Know and comply with state food handling and liquor laws.
18. Engage guests in a cordial, efficient and professional manner.
19. Adhere to hotel grooming and uniform standards.
20. Perform any additional tasks requested by management.
21. Coach, consul as necessary and have ongoing training and development.

Qualifications:

Education:  High school education/GED.

Experience:  Previous experience in a Hotel or related field preferred.

Hours required:  Scheduled days and time vary based on Hotel needs. Must be able to work weekends.

Skills and Abilities:  Must be able to pass TIPS certification/alcohol awareness training and food handler training.

Knowledge or and ability to operate a computer.

Ability to read, write and speak English.

Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time.

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Ability to provide friendly guest service with a smile.
