Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Security Officer / General Maintenance professional to ensure the safety, security, and smooth operation of our facility. This dynamic role combines security responsibilities with essential maintenance tasks, creating a safe and well-maintained environment for staff, visitors, and assets. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess a strong commitment to safeguarding property while maintaining the facility’s functionality. Your role will be vital in preventing loss, managing conflicts, and responding swiftly to emergencies, all while supporting the ongoing upkeep of the premises.
Duties
- Conduct regular interior patrols of the hotel, including hallways, parking areas, and entry points.
- Respond immediately to noise complaints, guest disturbances, or emergency alarms
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious activity and managing conflict situations professionally
- Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs such as repairs or safety hazards
- Perform basic maintenance tasks including lighting checks, plunging toilets, repairing locks, or addressing minor repairs to keep the facility in optimal condition
- Maintain detailed records of security activities, incident reports, shift logs, and maintenance requests to ensure accountability and compliance
Experience
- Prior experience in security roles or law enforcement is highly desirable
- Background in conflict management and de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes calmly and professionally
- Experience with basic maintenance tasks or facilities management is advantageous
- Familiarity with loss prevention practices and security protocols within corporate or industrial environments
