What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist/Cashier position at THE WESLEY?
The Receptionist / Cashier performs routine clerical and administrative work, answers telephones, transfers calls, receives the public, provides customer assistance, performs basic data processing and recordkeeping, and cashier services. This position is the first to activate the Emergency Response Procedures.
42 hours per 2-week pay period:
- Every Thurs & Fri 8:00 - 3:30 p.m.
- Every other weekend 7:00 - 2:30 p.m. (weekend pay)
- Every other holiday 7:00 - 2:30 p.m. (double pay)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic clerical skills required such as writing neatly, typing, basic computer skills, basic math, handling cash transactions accurately and balancing the cash drawer.
- Preference given to those who have a good understanding of the dynamics of human relationships and communications.
Must be able to:
- Do repetitious work
- Work with many distractions from other workers, residents and guests,
- Be flexible with work schedule when vacation and illnesses occur,
- Practice the positive dynamics of human relationships and communications,
- Read, speak, write, understand and follow instructions in English,
- Be flexible to change and think clearly when circumstances become hectic,
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to residents, staff and visitors.
Salary : $13 - $19
