Role Description The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is a full-time, on-site role based in Souderton, PA. This role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to minimize downtime and support safe, efficient operations. Daily tasks include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, inspecting equipment, replacing worn or damaged parts, and completing work orders in a timely manner. The mechanic will collaborate with production teams to schedule repairs, maintain tools and spare parts inventory, and follow all safety and compliance standards. The role may also involve assisting with equipment installation, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment and machinery.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems safely and effectively.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams.
- Organizational skills to manage work orders, maintenance records, and parts inventory.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in agricultural, food production, or related industrial environments is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Souderton, PA, including occasional overtime or shift work as business needs require.
