Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and comfort.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks.
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status.
- Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises.
- Administer medication under the direction of a healthcare professional.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred - Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures.
- Knowledge of various care settings such as medical-surgical, PICU, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, Level I Trauma Center, clinic, teaching hospital, geriatrics, and outpatient care.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and age groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.
