Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure safety during sessions
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend ongoing therapies for pain management and occupational health benefits
- Maintain detailed records of treatments, patient progress, and session notes in compliance with medical and spa standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or wellness practitioners to optimize client outcomes
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation protocols and safety guidelines
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and continuing education requirements to enhance your skills
Skills
- Strong patient service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Proficient in patient assessment and developing customized treatment plans
- Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques
- Solid knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to create a relaxing atmosphere for clients
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and med spa procedures is preferred
- Previous experience in med spa settings or similar environments is highly desirable
