Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator/Equipment Operator to join our construction team. This role involves operating heavy machinery on various construction sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision in all tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation, including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and other construction machinery. Prior experience with Caterpillar equipment and construction site work is highly desirable. Duties
No traveling from Place to place, all work will be done on 250 acres. Must have building roads skills, operating heavy equipment, running skid mulchers, mowing, excavators, running water lines, digging holes for electrical lines, assisting with everyday, talking to gravel companies, concrete companies, etc, helping with all farm stuff but mainly construction projects. you will be advancing the land on 250 acres. must work 40 hrs a week. days flexible, weekends available. must work at least 5 days week.
- Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling tasks
- Assist with horizontal drilling and tanker operations as needed
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow project plans and specifications to complete tasks accurately
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations at all times
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate operations across the construction site
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and equipment usage
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and tankers
- Experience operating Caterpillar machinery or similar brands in a construction environment
- Proficiency with horizontal drilling and paving operations is a plus
- Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations
- Ability to operate multiple types of heavy equipment including grader operation and water truck handling
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Prior experience in construction projects involving heavy machinery such as excavator operation or loader operation is highly valued
