Core Responsibilities
- Own and lead the firm's overall wealth management systems and platform strategy, replacing a prior committee-based approach with a single, accountable strategic vision
- Serve as the central liaison between sales, operations, compliance, and technology teams on all platform and technology decisions
- Act as the external face of the firm's technology and platform strategy to financial advisors, building trust and credibility in the fintech space
- Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with technology vendors and platform partners
- Measure all technology and platform initiatives against the established strategic vision and defined outcomes
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 3-4 direct reports, including product owners currently embedded across various business divisions
- Bring together diverse internal voices and perspectives to drive alignment on technology strategy
- Communicate platform strategy clearly and persuasively to senior leadership, advisors, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Present complex strategic information to executive leadership and advisor audiences with clarity and confidence
- Collaborate cross-functionally with ops, compliance, sales, and technology teams to ensure strategy is executed effectively
- Identify opportunities to improve advisor experience through technology and platform enhancements
- Represent the firm's technology vision in external conversations with advisors and industry partners
Must-Haves
- Demonstrated experience in wealth management systems, platforms, or fintech - with a clear orientation toward the business side, not purely IT or engineering
- Ability to speak the language of technology while operating as a senior business leader
- Collaborative leadership style with a proven track record of bringing together diverse stakeholders and driving alignment

- Experience working with independent financial advisors, RIAs, or hybrid wealth management firms
- Familiarity with the fintech vendor landscape in the wealth management space
- Prior experience managing product owners or cross-functional technology teams
- Current residence in Kansas City or the broader Midwest region
- Total compensation target: $300,000 - $400,000 all-in (base salary plus bonus component)
- Compensation structure is primarily base salary with a bonus component; specifics are flexible based on candidate experience and market
- Relocation package available (monetary payout; amount varies based on distance)
- The firm is open to discussing compensation above the stated range for candidates who bring exceptional experience and are willing to relocate
