As we prepare to open our Veterinary Care Center this winter 2026, we are seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to step into an Inventory Lead role. This is a leadership position for someone who loves medicine, thrives on organization, and believes that strong systems are an act of care for patients, clients, and teammates alike.
What This Role Looks Like
This position blends hands-on patient care with operational leadership, allowing you to stay connected to medicine while owning a critical systems-based role.
- This is a full-time position
- Approximately 5–10 hours per week are dedicated to inventory leadership and management
- The remaining hours focus on clinical veterinary technician duties, supporting both our housecall division and the Veterinary Care Center
Clinical Care Rooted in Hospitality & Meaning
- Support veterinarians during housecall and in-clinic visits with calm, compassionate care
- Assist with wellness exams, diagnostics, radiographs, medical workups, chronic disease management, and procedures
- Educate clients with clarity, patience, and respect — meeting them where they are
- Be a steady, reassuring presence for pets and families, including during emotional moments
Inventory Leadership with Openness & Ownership
- Take full ownership of inventory systems across mobile units and the Care Center
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of medications, supplies, and equipment
- Oversee ordering, receiving, organization, and expiration tracking
- Develop, refine, and uphold inventory SOPs and checklists
- Communicate openly with leadership about needs, risks, and opportunities
- Help the practice operate efficiently while reducing waste and surprises

- Create predictable, reliable workflows so clinicians can focus on patient care
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies and proactively propose improvements
- Collaborate respectfully with medical and operations leadership

The Leader We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for a CVT who leads through example and alignment with values.
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) required
- 5 years of veterinary clinical experience preferred
- Strong understanding of medications, medical supplies, and controlled substance handling
- Highly detail-oriented with a love for structure and follow-through
- Comfortable holding yourself and others accountable with kindness and clarity
- Clear, respectful communicator who values openness and teamwork
- Reliable, proactive, and steady — especially when things get busy
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs and assist with inventory movement
- Valid driver’s license required
- Bonus: experience with inventory software, SOP creation, or multi-location practices
