Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails and wine, ensuring proper presentation and guest satisfaction.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, handling food safely, and supporting overall restaurant hygiene.
- Assist with food preparation or setup when needed, including basic food handling and beverage service.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while staying organized.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently.
- Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurants is beneficial but not mandatory; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential!
