Responsibilities:
General Cleaning & Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness in all bathrooms, including cleaning sinks, toilets, showers, laundering shower curtains, washing floors, and sanitizing doorknobs, railings, light switches, and high-touch areas.
Kitchen & Dining Areas
- Sweep, mop, and sanitize kitchen and dining room floors, surfaces, and high-touch areas daily.
- Assist kitchen staff with kitchen and dining room setup, cleanup, and maintaining overall cleanliness.
- Support kitchen staff with food and pantry inventory management.
Recreation & Gym Areas
- Sweep and mop the Recreation Room weekly; sanitize all doorknobs, railings, and light switches.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Clean and sanitize Gym floors and walls monthly.
Bedrooms & Offices
- Sweep, wipe down, and clean floors and windows in offices and bedrooms every two weeks on Thursdays.
- Assist Maintenance with resetting youth bedrooms during transitions.
Facility Entryways
- Tidy, sweep, and clean the foyer and front porch area at least weekly and as needed.
- Clean and maintain the front entryway to ensure a welcoming and safe environment.
Additional Responsibilities
- Complete the assigned Relias online training and maintain compliance.
- Support special projects or additional duties as assigned, including assisting with events, parties, table setup, and preparation.
- Maintain professional standards in documentation, communication, and outward presentation in support of Webster House’s mission.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in commercial or corporate housekeeping.
- Strong working knowledge of cleaning appliances, equipment, and appropriate use of cleaning agents.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, proactivity, and time management.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform cleaning tasks over extended periods.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to following all health and safety standards.
- Professionalism and alignment with the mission and values of Webster House.
- Launder all kitchen and bathroom towels weekly.
- Clean, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize all common areas, including hallways, stairwells, living rooms, meeting areas, laundry rooms, and shared spaces.
- Sanitize doorknobs, railings, stairs, phones, and other frequently touched surfaces throughout the building.
- Clean and sanitize interior and office windows; wipe down windows in offices and bedrooms every two weeks.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling in all offices, meeting areas, youth bedrooms, and common spaces.
- Vacuum rugs and upholstered furniture weekly, including furniture in the main living room and youth living rooms in the houses.
- Conduct rug cleaning as needed.
- Dust and vacuum the cooling unit filters monthly.
- Restock paper goods and cleaning supplies in all bathrooms, offices, and common areas.
