POSITION: Driver / Client Transportation Specialist
LOCATION: The Wave of Clearwater – Clearwater, FL
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time or Part-Time (based on availability)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Wave of Clearwater is seeking a reliable, professional Driver / Client Transportation Specialist responsible for the safe and timely transportation of clients to and from various destinations. This role is strictly transportation-focused and plays a critical part in maintaining continuity of care and overall client experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Transport clients safely to and from:
- Urgent Care visits
- Emergency Room visits
- Interoffice appointments between Wave facilities
- Scheduled outside appointments
- Airport pickups and drop-offs
- Approved store runs and client-related errands
- Maintain strict adherence to all safety protocols and driving laws
- Ensure professionalism and appropriate client interaction at all times
- Maintain accurate transportation logs, mileage tracking, and scheduling communication
- Coordinate with Operations, Clinical, and Client Liaison teams regarding transport needs
- Perform basic vehicle checks to ensure safety and reliability
COMPENSATION STRUCTURE:
- W-2 Employee
- Hourly Rate (based on experience)
- Weekly Vehicle Stipend (flat rate) for use of personal vehicle
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Reliable personal vehicle required
- Preferred: Larger vehicle (SUV or van) suitable for client transport and luggage
- Active auto insurance meeting company minimum coverage requirements
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and professionalism
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or client transport
- Experience transporting multiple passengers
- Familiarity with Clearwater, Tampa, and surrounding areas including airport routes
ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS:
This is a high-accountability role. The Driver must be dependable, responsive, and able to adapt to changing schedules, including urgent, same-day, and after-hours transport needs. Professionalism and client safety are non-negotiable.
