What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler (Paper and Ink) position at The Watkins Printing Company?
We are looking for a self-motivated and professional Material Handler for our new Press. In this position, you will be responsible for tracking warehouse paper stock, storing materials and documenting orders.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas.
- Ensure all incoming delivery matches the company purchase order.
- Store paper in assigned locations using cargo boards and pallets.
- Manage inventory by identifying, cataloging, and recording the location of inventory.
- Record the number of units handled and moved every day using production sheets.
- Forklifts
- Track supply levels
- Comply with all safety and health regulations.
Requirements:
- Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification is an advantage.
- Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift up to a maximum of 100 pounds.
- Availability to work different shifts and overtime.
Job Description: The right candidate will possess the ability to multi-task and have a desire to produce quality products while adhering to scheduling deadlines. We are willing to train the right individual. This position requires attention to detail regarding products and associated material requirements. This position operates under general supervision of lead press operator and production coordinator. Will be required to perform other duties and work in other departments when needed.
Schedule: 1st shift Opportunity, M-F, 7:00am-3:00pm
Union Position, Excellent Health Insurance, 75% Covered by Watkins. , $17.57 an Hour
