What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Rooms Coordinator position at The Waterfront?
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Accurately input group reservations, maximize potential room revenue, configure group charge routing, input rooming lists, respond to group contacts via phone or email, build group room blocks. Audit all group resumes prior to group's arrival.
- Answer questions regarding Hotel facilities and services, local attractions, directions, etc. Memorize and communicate applicable deposit and guarantee policies requested. Handle complaints in a tactful manner and negotiate resolutions such as alternative accommodation when hotel is sold out. Provide clear, professional and respectful communication with guests and associates alike. Respond to 3rd party booking inquiries, to maintain clear communication with future and current guests.
- Reviews group pick up, assist in ensuring proper availability. Monitors and charges. No Shows and Late Cancels daily. Notify MOD of any significant changes or requests that may affect operations or scheduling. Maintains proper uniform and grooming policies, to maintain a professional image when interacting with co-workers, guests, and attending pre-con meetings infrequently.
