The Wasserstrom Company is one of the top Food Service Equipment and Supply Distributors in the nation. Established in 1902, we are a family owned company with our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Our Purchasing Department currently has an opportunity available for an Inventory Expeditor. The Inventory Expeditor position is responsible for expediting purchase orders for procurement of materials.
Job Duties
- Expediting of purchase orders from various suppliers.
- Resolving receiving discrepancies.
- Provide timely information and follow-up to customer service issues relating to delivery and availability.
- Develop and monitor supplier performance measurements .
- Create and process vendor returns.
- Position involves a range of interpersonal contacts both within the organization and with the outside supplier community.
Requirements
- Preferred 1-2 years of inventory expediting experience.
- Must be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while still maintaining attention to detail.
- Must have strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree with equivalent work knowledge preferred or with equivalent experience
