Marina Facilities & Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Marina Facilities & Maintenance Technician. This part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has basic mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-maintained marina for our customers. Also will consider full-time for the right applicant.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to marina facilities, docks, piers, walkways, ramps, and equipment.
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of marina infrastructure, including electrical pedestals, dock hardware, water systems, and other marina amenities.
- Conduct routine inspections of docks and facilities, identifying and reporting maintenance needs.
- Inspect docked vessels to ensure dock lines, shore power cords, and fenders are properly secured for safety.
- Assist with launching, hauling, and moving boats as needed.
- Complete interior and exterior painting and general maintenance projects.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of marina buildings, docks, and common areas, including trash removal and light cleaning of restrooms as needed.
- Remove floating debris from the marina basin to help maintain a safe and attractive waterfront.
- Perform occasional boat bottom painting, hull cleaning, and waxing.
- Assist with marina events and support daily marina operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Marina Management.
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude is required; experience with hand and power tools is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to marina facilities and equipment.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods (5-6 hours per day).
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Previous marina, maintenance, construction, or marine experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Schedule
- Part Time / Full-time
- Tuesday through Saturday
