Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) is the master planning, creative development, design, engineering, production, project management, and research arm of The Walt Disney Company’s (TWDC) Parks and Resorts business segment. Representing more than 150 disciplines, the talented corps of Imagineers are responsible for the creation of Disney resorts, theme parks and attractions, hotels, water parks, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, cruise ships and new media technology projects.
We are seeking dedicated software developer interns to develop apps, platforms, tools and technologies that enable and empower the design and development of upcoming attractions and experiences!

This Studio is a group of technologists working within Imagineering to create and deploy software and software/hardware integration tools to help increase the capabilities of Imagineering art and design practice.

What We’re Looking For…
An intern developer to assist with programming tasks and technical responsibilities within the Technology Studio. What You Will Do
- Perform digital pipeline tools development for 3D content creation including theme-park visualizations, animated animatronic animations, ride vehicles, simulated projectors, and other dynamic show elements
- Troubleshoot and support previously built software products and/or proof-of-concepts
- Engage with designers and artists to better support them and gather new requirements
What you bring to the role...
- Programming proficiency in both higher-level scripting languages such as Python and lower-level compiled languages such as C/C
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken)
- Ability to learn new APIs and SDKs quickly
- Autodesk Maya and/or MotionBuilder scripting and API (C /Python/OpenMaya API) development experience
- UI/UX prototyping or programming experience and/or tools (PyQT, Qt, Wx, CSS)
- 3D math skills and computer graphics programming experience (OpenGL/DirectX)
- Understanding of digital art pipeline for VFX and/or video games
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- 3D Animation rigging
- Robotics programming
- CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent)
- Physics based simulation (Simulink, ANSYS)
- Developing cross-platform software (Windows, Mac OS, Linux)
- Computer hardware and input devices
- Game engine development (game logic, plugin, core engine)
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher in an accredited college/university, earning a degree majoring in Computer Science, Interactive Media or similar field
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Orlando, FL or Glendale, CA area
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
- The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2026 through Aug/Sept 2026
