What You Will Do:
- Support and apply a user-centered, data-informed design process to understand the motivations and behaviors of Disney’s audiences — designing intuitive, accessible, and delightful solutions that help them meet their goals.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, research, engineering, and product management to explore and develop creative, practical solutions to real user problems.
- Contribute to user research and usability testing activities — helping translate findings into actionable design insights and opportunities for improvement.
- Create design deliverables such as sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate ideas effectively and gather feedback from peers and stakeholders.
- Work within established design systems and brand guidelines, ensuring visual consistency and contributing fresh ideas to improve documentation and components.
- Participate in design critiques and feedback sessions, learning how to iterate on designs based on input from mentors and team members.
- Embrace iteration, collaboration, and ambiguity, viewing each challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow as a designer.
- Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design principles and UX fundamentals including research, ideation, prototyping, and testing
- Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar.
- Ability to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that effectively communicate design intent.
- Strong visual design sense and attention to detail across typography, layout, and hierarchy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn from feedback and iterate on designs.
- A genuine curiosity about technology, storytelling, and how people engage with digital experiences.
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Product Design, UX Design, Human–Computer Interaction, Visual Communications, Interaction Design, or a related field
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- Fully available from M-F, 40 hours each week for the entire program duration: May/June - August/September 2026 (12 weeks)
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
Salary : $38
