Pool Technician - Full Time, $33.50/Hour

Ensure the safety of all Guests, providing a safe and fun environment at all pool locations by maintaining water quality and cleanliness. Pool technician also serve as support for Recreation team and water attractions safety and excellent guest service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of Guests, may be a first responder to emergency situations
• Must be able to understand and measure pool water quality requirements; work with chemicals to assist with upkeep of pool water and cleanliness
• Ability to safely work with and store hazardous chemicals
• Must be mechanically inclined; verifying the equipment in the pump room is functioning correctly, ability to work in a loud environment
• Partner with Engineering/Maintenance regarding pump maintenance
• Enforce policies, rules and regulations of the Recreation locations
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Upon successful completion of training and become Certified Pool Operator or certified Aquatic Facility Operator.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills able to positively engage with Guests, team members and management
• Must be able to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining quality
• Responsible, mature, energetic and comfortable giving and taking feedback
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Must pass respiratory physical and fit test for respirator.
• Frequent walking/standing/pushing/pulling
• Regular heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending/twisting and kneeling
• Frequent use of hands
• Must work outdoors getting wet in an open water environment, in all types of weather; sometimes exposed to extreme heat/humidity and/or cold.
• Vision and hearing must be normal range to conduct chemical color testing and hear the sound of guests and the team member.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Recreation or Resort environment
• Previous pool chemist or pool technician experience
• Knowledge of Hawaiian/Japanese language preferred
  
  

Additional Information

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY

Our Resort operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 4:00 AM and vary as needed. Full-time requires full availability for any shift at any time, Sunday through Saturday.
