Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney’s linear networks and theatrical content. This includes Disney’s media supply chain and storage, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, network transmission and origination, and more. The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney’s EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Distribution Operations Associate to oversee the servicing and localization for Next Day Air TV to EST platforms, and Currents and Catalog projects for Disney , Hotstar, DTC, and EST platforms. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational abilities, an understanding of digital content distribution concepts and technologies and an interest in emerging technology and platforms.

Responsibilities And Duties Of The Role

  • This role will manage servicing for Currents Next Day Air for EST platforms, along with catalog, feature, bonus, shorts, trailers, artwork, and metadata to various digital platforms globally including Disney , Hotstar, DTC, and EST platforms.
  • Key day-to-day tasks include extensive management of orders, curating source assets, communicating with customers, clients, & internal business ops team, vendor & asset management, inventory research, dealing with rejections, establishing a process SLA (Service Level Agreement), and managing vendor & supplier performance metrics.
  • Coordinates the creation of servicing, and localization assets used to service clients across all media types. Ensure the delivery timeline is on track, and schedules are maintained. Escalate impact to schedules when needed.
  • Liaison between vendors, internal departments, and clients. Responsibilities include managing post charts, on time asset delivery, and weekly milestones are met. Disney specifications and SLA with vendors.
  • Responsible for the creation and validation of total estimated cost documentation and ensure work ordered is completed on budget. Reconcile actual billable work and credit memos at the completion of a project. Reviewing and approving invoicing.
  • Is familiar with localization requirements for dubbing and subtitling. Work closely with vendors to localization orders in over 40 languages.
  • Troubleshoot and manage rejection from clients and streaming platforms, perform root cause analysis, fix the reported issue, and oversee redelivery.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior management as needed.

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in media project management, managing vendors and clients, and localization.
  • Proficiency with project management tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of digital distribution supply chain workflow.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to anticipate and respond to client requirements proactively. Having excellent problem-solving abilities, and a focus on delivering exceptional, forward-thinking service.
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge in digital media tools and technologies. The ideal candidate will be a technical resource capable of navigating complex digital ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with multiple languages and cultural nuances is a plus.

#DISNEYTECH

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $79,100 to $95,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

Salary : $79,100 - $95,500
