Summary
The Walling Company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of industrial pumps and rotating equipment. We’re looking for someone with strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
· Inspect, diagnose, and repair pumps and related rotating equipment.
· Disassemble, clean, and rebuild units; replace or adjust defective parts as needed.
· Accurately document diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
· Perform technical services including start-ups, installations, and field repairs.
· Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding repair status and recommendations.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
· Adhere to all safety standards and company policies.
· Stay current with new products, repair methods, and technical updates.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
· Proven experience as a Repair Technician or in a related mechanical/electrical repair role.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
· Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
· Strong communication and customer service skills.
· Capable of working independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
· Physically able to lift and move heavy equipment as needed.
Preferred Skills
· Certification or training in a related trade or technical discipline.
· Experience with inventory management systems or repair ticketing software.
· Familiarity with Profit 21 ERP system.
· Valid driver’s license (for field service work).
Work Environment
· Work performed in a shop, warehouse, or field environment depending on assignment.
· May involve exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
· Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided as required.
