Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pre-K Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities and lessons.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
- Provide a safe and caring environment for children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and encouraging positive interactions.
- Facilitate daily routines including meal times, nap times, and playtime.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that supports learning.
- Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and milestones.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
Skills
- Proficient in First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Experience in toddler care or similar caregiving roles is highly valued.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an orderly learning environment.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively educate young learners.
- Ability to create engaging activities that foster learning through play.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Previous experience in daycare or nannying is a plus.
- A nurturing attitude with the ability to build trusting relationships with children.
